& stare in amazement, for high in the domed ceiling a dragon hangs mid air, flaming. The green eyes seem to whirl slowly as they look straight at you, you feel as though you are being inspected. You blink & the illusion vanishes, it is a painting but so well done, that for a moment ... You look away.

You are a little surprised, you had expected the a grotto to be a little more picturesque. The cave is large, sheer blackrock walls that seem to absorb light into their velvety depths, rise high above you. Your eyes follow their line up.

From the platform halfway down the set of stone steps that descend through the cave, is a wide entrance to the Dwarven Cavern. Through a stone arch at the top of the stairs, you can hear the trees rustle in the garden beyond, below, a torch flickers in the blackrock entrance to the Dwarven Tunnels beyond.
