Meet Our Robotics Group!

Mete Atamel, Programming

Mete is a senior at Gettysburg College and is a dual major in Computer Science and Mathmatics. He worked on programming Trusty with Dan and Jon. He also helped with algorithm design and experimented with arithmetic aproaches to problem solving.

Dan Blankenberg, Software Design

A junior at Gettysburg College, Dan is a Computer Science and Biochemistry/Molecular Biology double major. He worked with Jon and Mete on programming Trusty.

Jon Branham, Software Design

Jon Branham is also a junior and is majoring in Computer Science. He worked with Dan and Mete on programming Trusty and was constantly proposing new solutions and test cases. Jon also did the javadocs for the code.

Emily Haas, Webpage Design

Emily is a junior at Gettysburg College and is a Computer Science / Chemistry double major. She designed and created the 2002 Robotics Websight and was in charge of documentation. She also helped design test courses.

Machel Higgins, Engineering

Machel, a junior Gettysburg College Computer Science and Physics dual major, was in charge of building the many different Trusty versions created by the group. He also helped with creating a threading algorithm with the programming team. Machel also took pictures of the robot.

Chris La Pilla, Algorithm

Chris is a senior Computer Science and Music double major. He worked on building the robots and helped with troubleshooting. Chris also designed the algorithms for parts three and four.

James "Brook" Miller, Hardware/Concept Design

Brook, a sophomore Computer Science, Physics, and Mathmatics triple major, worked on building the different Trusty versions as well. He also helped Jon come up with many great solutions to problems the team was faced with while building the Line Follower Robot. Brook has requested that his official title be "God."

Ben Reynolds, Design

Ben is a junior Computer Science major at Gettysburg. He worked on building and troubleshooting the robot.

Michael Schompert, Hardware Design

Mike is a junior Computer Science and Management dual major. He worked on building the robot, as well as designing test scenarios. Mike also worked on discovering helpful modifications to the Trusty design. Finally, Mike designed the Step-By-Step instructions page for building "The Beast"
