Call for Papers FLAIRS-2005 Special Track on Artificial Intelligence Education The 18th International FLAIRS Conference (FLAIRS-2005) Special Track on AI Education Clearwater Beach, Florida Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort May 15-17, 2005

Important Dates

• Submission deadline: Friday, October 22, 2004.
• Acceptance notification: Friday, January 7, 2005.
• Final versions due: Friday, February 4, 2005.
• Track: 3:15-3:55PM, Monday, May 16, 2005.

Papers are being solicited for a special track on AI Education at the 18th International FLAIRS Conference (FLAIRS-2005). The special track will be devoted to methods of teaching AI, using AI in teaching other courses, or AI applications to assist in classroom instruction. These areas include, but are not limited to:

• Implementation of the Computing Curricula 2001 Intelligent Systems Area
• Model Assignments/Experiences/Syllabi for AI Instruction
• AI Classroom Techniques or Innovations for Undergraduate and/or Graduate Instruction
• Intelligent Applications for Instruction of AI and Other Disciplines and Assessment of Such Applications
• Incorporating AI research into AI courses

Submission Guidelines

Interested authors must submit completed manuscripts by Friday, October 22, 2004. Submission guidelines can be obtained by referring to the conference website (http://ranger.uta.edu/flairs05/). Papers will be refereed and those accepted for presentation will appear in the conference proceedings which will be published by AAAI Press. Authors may be invited to submit a revised copy of their paper to a special issue of the International Journal on Artificial Intelligence Tools (IJAIT).  Questions regarding the track should be addressed to Todd Neller (http://cs.gettysburg.edu/~tneller/).
